Abstract:

Deer management capability in New York State depends on hunters applying for and filling DMPs. We identified and categorized those factors correlated with DMP use by 1997 New York State deer hunters. Understanding these factors will help the New York State Bureauof Wildlife (BOW) devise strategies for maximizing DMP use.
