Abstract: 

This study was conducted for the Indiana Division of Fish and Wildlife (the Division) to explore hunter recruitment and retention strategies in Indiana. For this study, Responsive Management completed 1,006 interviews with the general public and Indiana hunters: 503 completed interviews from among the general population and 503 completed interviews of Indiana deer hunters. The study provides a solid foundation of quantitative research on which to base hunter retention, recruitment, and license sales efforts.
