Take One – Make One

The Take One – Make One Program (TOMO) was established by SCDNR in January 1999. Since 2004, 286 youth have participated in this program. The TOMO program specifically targets youth and young adults who have not experienced a previous shooting or hunting activity. These youth are paired with volunteer hunting club members and private land owners who sponsor and actively participate in a year-round hunting, fishing and shooting sports mentorship program.

Youth Hunting Program of Florida

The Youth Hunting Program of Florida (YHPF) is preserving the hunting tradition in Florida for future generations by providing introductory, instructive youth hunts for inexperienced youth hunters and their sponsoring parent. The goal is to mentor both the youth and adult through the hunter safety program, shooting activities and a weekend hunt giving them enough experience to feel comfortable repeating the process on their own.

Texas Youth Hunting Program

The Texas Youth Hunting Program was established to increase the numbers of youths participating in wildlife and hunting activities and to promote the hunting heritage in Texas.

Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) joined forces to implement the program and offer youth hunts that are safe, educational and affordable.
